Bay to Breakers.. it ain't over!

This weekend and the beginning of this week has been so very hectic. Brenton will be leaving Sydney in 4 days (Saturday, and Aussieland is always a day ahead of me). I leave for Chicago on Thursday and I have a project due on Wednesday. Finding time to think or even scratch my balls has become an artform. But fortune smiled on me for a few brief moments during my workout this evening. I mentioned to my workout partner, Ken, some of the things I had planned to do while B was in town. He suggested what is now Idea #2. This was actually something I had tucked away in a corner of my already stuffed-to-the-brim mind. Luckily, Ken filled out the idea quite nicely, and so now I have something else to tease B with and keep you all guessing. A few hints:
Well, today was one of the first days this spring/summer where the weather was perfect. For the last several days my pool has been a bit chilly, but today it was a balmy 80 degrees. So I jumped in. First swim of the season. I know my neighbors are jealous, since all they have are bare backyards full of weeds. I'll have to take a pic of me in the pool tomorrow for the blog. But right now, I need to get ready and head down into Oakland. Some friends and I are going to hang out on the roof deck, crack some bubbly, and then head in for sushi. Apparently, their favorite sushi restaurant is having a 50% off special on all rolls. Uh oh... they'll wish I'd never found out about that one!
Okay... I just spent the last 4 hours working in my back yard. It has needed plants and landscaping for the last year and a half. Roughly 45 plants, 10 bags of mulching bark and over 100' of drip line irrigation tubing. Sheesh... and the whole time I'm thinking, that @$$#013 ex of mine (who was always bitching about how I never could take care of the house) leaves me to do all this work while he's nailing his new boy toy. AHHH.. focus the anger... I need more mulch.
I'm watching my friend Ross's year old Rottweiler, Antoine (Ann-Tahn). He's used to living in a small one bedroom apartment in downtown San Francisco. He doesn't quite know what to do with all the space he has here right now. And I'm not sure I know what to do with all that dog. He weighs in at 95lbs, and is still pretty much a puppy. He tried playing hide-n-seek just a minute ago but only manage to knock something over. But I have to say, I prefer him to cats.
I was really not intending to get into this whole blog thing. Even though I'm a child of the internet era, and can remember AOL before you could attach pics to email, this just never appealed to me. But now that my Australian man has two of them out there, and I'm working from home, I figured it would be a good way to get myself out there.
